Curt Brandhorst

Curt Brandhorst is one of our current resident artists. He works in all kinds of media, pastel, watercolor, acrylic, and photography.

Curt Brandhorst grew up traveling across this great country of ours. Calling New York, California, Missouri, Nebraska, Minnesota & Oregon home at various points in his life. He is a member of the phi alpha theta honors fraternity for historians and was a presenter at the Great Plains Symposium of Collegiate Honors societies. For most of his professional career, Curt has worked as a graphic artist.

Statement

Curt Brandhorst is an award-winning artist that has worked professionally in both the fine and commercial art realms since 1978. He was in high school when the school principal hired him to design a logo and layout newspaper ads for his spa business. Since that date, his work has been used in numerous successful political campaigns, local businesses, up to Blue Cross of California. On the fine art side, Curt’s work has been featured in newspapers in several cities including the Sacramento Bee. He has won or been a finalist in several local shows from Nebraska, to California, his digital art, finishing in the top 3 places of an International show, along with Sony digital Arts, and Lucas Arts. His paintings hang in private collections from Missouri to California and Oregon.
