Richelew Parker comes from a Midwestern background of family craftsman, artists, muralists, as well as early study of design and architecture in secondary school.( with associated awards while there) Additionally while in the Oklahoma he observed the both kinetic and static natural surroundings, which had a definite influence on his growing visual predisposition. Furthermore while he was in the U.S. Air Force his graphic influences evolved with his duties of producing engineering drawings as a part of his responsibilities.

After Leaving the Air Force he studied Architecture at both Pasadena City College, Pasadena, California ( And Obtained an Associate Degree in Architecture), and California State Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo. ( Cal Poly SLO ) He obtained a Bachelor of Architecture Degree in 1975. While at Cal Poly his studies included Delineation, Photography , Sculpting, and Model Building. Post College he had a 32 year career in the Architectural field. While working Richelew studied art at Sacramento City College, with Fred Dalkey.

Post the Architectural career he has entered his work at the New Artworks Gallery in Fair Oaks, California and The Artistic Edge Gallery ,Sacramento. Also Images of his work has been shown in the Sacramento Bee Newspaper as well the Sacramento Magazine.

Richelew Parkers Vision of Art and Design involves viewing it as being influenced by the basic graphic elements of nature.
Including: Symmetry, Proportion, Rhythm, and Continuity; with the understanding that nature is inherently kinetic. He integrates varying mediums and pursues dynamic creative experimentation in his work.
