Qinqin Liu is an interdisciplinary artist with a Ph. D in biology and ecology studies, as well as art education from universities in California and Minnesota, the New York Art Students League, Otis College in Los Angeles, and the School of Visual Arts in New York. She works primarily in drawing, Chinese ink, watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, and collage with natural materials and objects. Her artwork is inspired by natural beauty and great values of biodiversity and mother earth as well as culture.   She was taught Chinese ink painting and calligraphy before coming to the US. Integrating Chinese calligraphy and design elements into Western art styles and connecting art, nature and culture contribute to the unique character of her artworks, including exhibitions in the National Science Museum in Taipei, California Art Center Museum, Crocker Art Museum, Duluth Art Museum, art studio and galleries in Asia, Europe, and the US. Her artworks have been collected in the US, Asia, and Europe.
