“Whimsical Watercolors”
Elaine Schaefer Hudson has been painting and showing since the 70’s. Her art degree comes from UCSD, and she continues to enroll in various classes from local colleges, instructors and fellow artists. “One is never too old to learn something new.”
These paintings are primarily from her Whimsey series (and a couple of her favorite Florals for good measure). Gentle humor plays a large part in how she views the universe, and she finds it very funny. A streak of playfulness, a dash of curiosity and a little happy dance are key ingredients in her work.
Elaine enjoys bold statements and strong colors, preferring a loose, impressionistic rendering of what she sees. She enjoys playing with her art, and finds joy in the everyday world around her.
